Pittsburgh Penguins president of hockey operations and general manager Kyle Dubas has officially been named Team Canada's director of player personnel for the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off in February 2025, Hockey Canada announced Tuesday.
Dubas will also assume the same role for Team Canada's Olympic management group for the 2026 Winter Games in Milan, Italy.
Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois was named Assistant General Manager for both squads as well.
"Julien and Kyle are are accomplished general managers, and I am excited to welcome them to our management group for both the 4 Nations Face-Off and Olympics, as I believe they will be strong assets to a well-rounded management team," Team Canada general manager Doug Armstrong told Hockey Canada.
Dubas started his career as the youngest-ever NHLPA-certified player agent. He began his management career as GM of the Ontario Hockey League's (OHL) Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, and he has since helmed the GM positions of the Toronto Marlies (AHL) and Maple Leafs and, currently, the Penguins.
The full rosters for the 4 Nations Face-Off will not be revealed until late-November, but Dubas is already guaranteed to work with Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, who was one of the first six players named to the team on June 28.
The others are Colorado Avalanche stars Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar, Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand, Lightning forward Brayden Point, and Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid.
