Fans of the Pittsburgh Penguins are unhappy with the general manager and letting it be known.

Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby speaks following the team's 7-2 loss on home ice to Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers.

PITTSBURGH - Fans of the Pittsburgh Penguins have seen enough and are making their voices heard.

Currently riding a three-game losing streak and in the midst of getting speed bagged by the Edmonton Oilers, “Fire Hextall” chants rang out at PPG Paints Arena.

They started shortly after Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored to give the Oilers a 6-1 lead with time to spare in the second period.

Boos were also heard for much of the night as the entire Oilers team pretty much took the Penguins lunch money.

More than just down by five goals, the Penguins put together arguably their worst performance of the season.

Fans have been begging for a trade since before the Christmas break, and it has been radio silence from general manager Ron Hextall.

Things are starting to reach a tipping point as the Penguins are out the outside of the playoffs and continue to slip further down the standings.

They’ve lost nine straight to division opponents and are on the verge of losing their fourth straight overall.

The Penguins have made 16 straight postseasons and the fans haven’t seen this kind of losing in a long time.
