Penguins Open Informal Skates Ahead of Camp

The Pittsburgh Penguins have started skating as a team prior to the official start of training camp.

Tomas Tatar will not be coming to the Pittsburgh Penguins. How will that effect them moving forward?

With training camp just over a week away, a certain group of Pittsburgh Penguins are making sure to get in early reps.

A large group of Penguins have returned to town, or have arrived in Pittsburgh, and are participating in informal practices.

Among those taking part in the skates are veterans like Evgeni Malkin and Bryan Rust as well as newcomers like Reilly Smith and Erik Karlsson.

The Penguins images of the returning players on their social media pages and gave a look into preparations taking place for the 2023-24 season.

Players have been training and keep in shape in their own way througout the summer, but slowly but surely, the whole group is returning to Pittsburgh.

Meanwhile, Penguins’ captain Sidney Crosby recently attended the NHL Media Tour in Las Vegas and took time to do promotional shoots with first overall pick Connor Bedard.

Penguins in the pipeline are set to take part in the annual Prospect Challenge in Buffalo for three games before the opening of camp.

The official start for the Penguins’ 2023 Training Camp is set for September 21.
