After missing three three games, defenseman P.O. Joseph has slotted back into the Pittsburgh Penguins lineup.
For the first time in the 2022-23 season, the Pittsburgh Penguins have a fully healthy roster of players to pick from.
The return of P.O. Joseph to the lineup solidified the Penguins fully healthy status as he slots in on defense after missing three games.
Joseph suffered a lower-body injury during the victory against the Washington Capitals.
While not playing in games, Joseph did stay around the team for practices and morning skates.
Even with a full crop of players, Kasperi Kapanen is still being scratched from the lineup.
This is the fourth time in five games that Kapanen has been scratched from the Penguins lineup and it all stems from some poor play to start the season.
As head coach Mike Sullivan stated prior to the game against the Minnesota Wild, the team is going through a team-wide ‘process’ to figure out what will work for success.
As part of this ‘process,’ Sullivan has put Rickard Rakell back on the first line in place of the struggling Bryan Rust.
Over the past six games, Rust has not recorded a point and could use a kick start.
