The Pittsburgh Penguins have a fresh face to add to their front office.
With the month of August right around the corner, the Pittsburgh Penguins continue to add to their front office staff.
First reported by Seth Rorabaugh of Trib Live, the Penguins have promoted Amanda Kessel to the role of special assistant to president of hockey operations and general manager.
The promotion comes following Kessel’s time as an executive fellow with the organization during the 2022-23 season.
No formal announcement was made by the Penguins, but there was an obvious update to the teams’ front office staff page with Kessel’s new title.
It isn’t exactly clear what her duties will cover with the team, but the title suggests she will report to president of hockey operations Kyle Dubas.
At the moment, the Penguins do not have a general manager, as Dubas is yet to make that hire.
