Another depth forward option will join the Pittsburgh Penguins roster.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have continued to add to their forward depth with another free agent signing as the offseason reaches its long haul.
After an initial report from David Pagnotta, the Penguins made it official by announcing the signing of forward Vinnie Hinostroza to a one-year contract.
The deal carries an average annual value of $775,00 at the NHL level.
Hinostroza spent the 2022-23 season splitting time with the Buffalo Sabres and their AHL affiliate the Rochester Americans.
In 26 games played at the NHL level in 2022-23, Hinostroza scored a pair of goals and recorded 11 total points.
IN 360 career games in the NHL, the 29-year-old has posted 53 goals and a total 148 points.
Hinostroza peaked at 39 points (16G-23A) during the 2018-19 campaign with the Arizona Coyotes.
Hinostroza played college hockey at Notre Dame and was a teammate of current Penguins forward Bryan Rust.
