The entire Pittsburgh Penguins' season might be riding on their next eight games.

PITTSBURGH - The rosters are set, the race is on, and the next two weeks are massively important for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Over the next 14 days, the Penguins play eight games, mostly against Metropolitan Division or bubble opponents, and the importance is growing.

Three games against the New York Rangers, are the highlights as well as battles with the New York Islanders and Ottawa Senators.

The Islanders and Senators, along with a handful of other teams are in a tight race for the postseason that gets tighter with every passing game.

Thankfully for the Penguins, the math continues to look good in their favor.

With that many key games and their current position in the standings, the next two weeks could make or break the season for the Penguins.

A 31-22-9 record gives the Penguins 71 points, just three up on four other teams fighting for spots in the playoffs.

The Penguins have games in hand on a few squads like the Islanders and Florida Panthers, but they will need to win those contests.
