Tristan Jarry will again miss time from the Pittsburgh Penguins lineup with a lower-body injury.
The Pittsburgh Penguins will go into Dallas shorthanded due to more injuries. Head coach Mike Sullivan provided a brief injury update prior to the Penguins matchup against the Stars.
Tristan Jarry won't dress tonight due to another lower-body injury. Casey DeSmith will get the start in Dallas and Dustin Tokarski will serve as backup. There was no timetable mentioned for Jarry's return.
The injury news didn't stop there, however. Forwards Jake Guentzel and Jason Zucker are game-time decisions, as well. Both players appeared to take some bumps and bruises against the Colorado Avalanche, but no specifics were given.
"Game-time decision" usually means a specific player or players will be in the lineup, but this doesn't seem so certain, given Filip Hallander was recalled on an emergency basis with Tokarski.
Expect Hallander to draw into the lineup after being emergency recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Both he and Tokarski, are en route to Dallas and Sullivan expects them to be there in time for puck drop.
