Former Pittsburgh Penguins great Jaromir Jagr is still playing professionally in Czechia. He's still scoring goals and setting up teammates. Here's a recap of his season so far.

Although the NHL regular season has yet to begin, the Pittsburgh Penguins are playing pre-season hockey, and some of the franchise's former players have already begun their seasons elsewhere.

Recently, news broke that Penguins icon Jaromir Jagr, playing his 37th professional hockey season, will hang up his skates after the Rytíři Kladno concludes its season in the Czech league.

Heading into the final week of September, Kladno is 2-2 on the season.

In their season opener, Jagr, eight months removed from his 53rd birthday, collected an assist, his first point of the year. When Kladno hosted their home opener on Sept. 20, they defeated HC Sparta Praha 4-2, with a goal from Jagr.

During the 2023-24 season, the future Hall of Famers tallied just four points in 15 appearances and is already at half that total just four games into this campaign. At this stage, any time he scores a point or a goal, he further enhances his legacy as one of the game's greatest players.

Gordie Howe played in the NHL at 52 and, 17 years later, one shift in the IHL at 69. Jagr never got the chance to play in North America in his 50s, but he does own Kladno and could choose to play forever.

But it appears someone as conditioned as Jagr knows his limits. Hopefully, he will retire early to save some energy for playing time in his 60s, which would be a spectacle in the social media age.

For now, fans can follow Jagr's last professional hockey season on social media and Kladno's website:
