Kyle Dubas is not interested in changing the Pittsburgh Penguins bench boss anytime soon.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will likely miss the playoffs for the second consecutive season in 2024. They have also failed to advance past the first round of the playoffs since 2018. At this point, in most situations, the possibility of a head coaching change would begin to enter the conversation if not already have happened.

However, that doesn't seem to be the case for Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan. The organization's all-time leader in coaching wins continues to receive the backing of the Penguins front-office.

"If you don't have Sully, then you're looking for Sully," Dubas said on his biweekly radio show on the Penguins Radio Network. "If you have it, you should keep it."

The Penguins "have" Sullivan for the foreseeable future. The three-year contract extension Sullivan signed in August of 2022 doesn't begin until next season.

With the support of Dubas' front office and ownership in Fenway Sports Group, Sullivan doesn't appear to be on the hot seat.
