Stuart Skinner is one of the Pittsburgh Penguins' most notable pending unrestricted free agents (UFAs) heading into the summer. With the Penguins having two young goalies in Arturs Silovs and Sergei Murashov, it is certainly possible that the Penguins could move on from Skinner this summer. Now, a team in the Atlantic Division has been named a potential suitor for Skinner if he tests the free agent market. According to ESPN's Kevin Weekes [https://x.com/KevinWeekes/status/2064479690757435772], Skinner is one of the goalie options that the Ottawa Senators are considering. It is not a secret that the Senators are in need of some help between the pipes. They need to upgrade their backup goalie position, as Leevi Merilainen and James Reimer both struggled in the role this season. Bringing in Skinner would have the potential to improve their goaltending in a notable way. If the Senators signed Skinner this summer, he would give them a solid tandem with Linus Ullmark to work with. Skinner would likely be the 1B in that tandem and could work well in that scenario. It will be interesting to see what happens between Skinner and the Penguins this summer. If the Penguins decide to let him walk through free agency, the Senators could be a team to keep an eye on.
