Malkin earned the NHL's Third Star of the Week by putting up six points to start the season. Against Detroit, watch for Geno to continue his early run of offensive production. That win catapulted the polarizing goaltender ahead of Matt Murray for the third highest win total in team history. His first two games have shown flashes of his brilliance, but he is still looking to find consistency in his level of play. He'll need another solid start to keep his momentum building this season. That being said, the third and fourth lines have done very little to instill confidence in their offensive depth. Among all six forwards, they collectively have one point: a lone assist registered by center Lars Eller.
