Center Lars Eller says the Pittsburgh Penguins currently have too many holes in their game. After leaving his NHL debut early following an ugly scene, Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman John Ludvig has been diagnosed with a concussion. Following an afternoon practice, Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed the concussion but not much more beyond the diagnosis. Sullivan said he was unable to give any more of a status update beyond the concussion. “That’s a tough circumstance,” Sullivan said. “We’ll work with him here and our medical staff will do their very best to get him back in a timely fashion.” With an uncertain timeline for return, it is likely Ludvig will be moved to injured reserve in the near future, opening up a roster spot for the Penguins. Before the attempted hit that took Ludvig out of the game, he had logged 5:29 of ice time and was impressing the Penguins coaching staff. Ludvig recorded a total of two hits and a shot on goal.
