Brian Bradshaw Sevald-USA TODAY Sports - Comeback Kids: Three Takeaways From Sharks 6-5 Win Over Red Wings

The San Jose Sharks beat the Detroit Red Wings 6-5 in one of the craziest games any hockey fan will ever see.

The Sharks rallied and got four unanswered goals after going down 4-0 in the second period.

Words can't do enough to describe what happened last night, and that is what makes Hockey the best sport in the world.

Here are three takeaways from last night's insanity:

    1. No Quit In San Jose

The New York Rangers have the "No Quit in New York" phrase plastered everywhere. It might be time to change New York to San Jose. This team doesn't give up.

While falling behind in games is a trend that needs to change, the pushback and fight this team has shown during their current road trip is incredible. The Sharks fell behind the Rangers 6-3 but scored two quick goals to give them a chance.

Ultimately, they fell 6-5, but that was the first sign of life that they could come back from any deficit.

Against the New York Islanders, the Sharks went down 4-1 but continued to fight their way back and won that game 5-4 in OT. Last night was just another example of this team's mentality change from the season's beginning. If this were a month and a half ago, the game would seemingly be over once they went down three goals.

    2. Tomas Hertl Is A Beast

Five goals in the last two games. Seven points in the previous four. Hertl has broken out of his struggles in a big way. He has returned to being the dominant No. 1 center that Sharks fans know.

He carries the play and is finally getting rewarded.

He has also taken on a significant leadership role with Logan Couture out of the lineup. William Eklund has talked about what Hertl means to him.

"He's really important to me. I think keeping us together, we are always talking on the bench. He's always helping with small tips and tricks. That is something I really appreciate about him," Eklund said after the Islanders game.

    3. William Eklund Is Starting To Pop

Last night's game could be considered the best game of Eklund's career. The puck seems to be following Eklund around. Even the broadcast mentioned it multiple times.

The game is slowing down for the young winger, and his offense is starting to appear. Although he only had one assist last night, he created chance after chance. He also missed a wide-open net in the first period.

Eklund has four points in his last four games and is a staple on Hertl's wing. He is also taking on a small penalty-killing role. His assist last night was a shorthanded point as he got the puck to Hertl for the Sharks' first goal.

The Sharks have won three of their last four games. All three wins haven't been clean, but the team is playing together. There will be regression. They won't be able to come back in every game they fall behind, but for now, let the kids have fun.
