Former San Jose Sharks forward Noah Gregor returns to San Jose for the first time as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He met with members of the Toronto media to discuss his time in San Jose.

Gregor spent four seasons with the San Jose Sharks, playing in 178 games with 26 goals and 25 assists. He's played 36 games for Toronto and has five goals and two assists.

"It was great. I really enjoyed my time there," Gregor said. "It's a great organization [that] treated me well."

Gregor talked about the organization's work ethic, and although it didn't translate to many wins, the team was happy with the effort given.

"The hockey was kinda what it was through those four years. We weren't the best team, [but] we always worked hard." Gregor explained. "We could look after each game that we were working hard and playing good hockey. It wasn't always the best outcome."

The 25-year-old told media members that despite the struggles during his time in San Jose, he felt he was developed well.

"I think I developed well there," Gregor explained. "They've had some guys come through that have developed into really good players. [Mario] Ferraro has been there, [and] we came up together. He's translated into a good player. [William] Eklund is there, and he's doing a great job."

The San Jose Sharks have had to juggle when to play players at the NHL level. Henry Thrun started the season in the NHL but, after two games, was sent down to the AHL. Head coach David Quinn said that being able to put the defenseman in a position to succeed was part of that decision.

"It can be tricky at times if you're going to put players into a situation where they are going to be losing," Gregor agreed. "It is a difficult situation, but it all depends on the players themselves."

Gregor had 17 points in 57 games for San Jose last season.

"It will be exciting to go up against some old teammates and some friends," Gregor said. "I am just going to try and get out there and get the win."

Former Sharks' netminder Martin Jones is expected to start in goal for the Maple Leafs tomorrow.
