The San Jose Sharks beat the St. Louis Blues 5-1 for their third win of the season.
Here's what head coach David Quinn, Givani Smith, and Kaapo Kahkonen had to say about it.
"We're just going to enjoy this. We've been kind of trending in this direction. A couple of wins. A chance to win in Anaheim and had the lead against Florida. Just feels good to come out and play the way we did."
"The prescout today was about our D being a little bit more on top of people. Checking the weak side to make sure you've got F3, see if he can get involved. I think we've been pretty passive lately, and I think that can happen when you've been losing the way we have. I think we played with a little bit of fear, and I thought we played fearless tonight. When you do that, good things happen."
Quinn on Smith: "He's brought some size and a hardness to our lineup that we sorely needed. He can also play hockey. I think you've seen some of the plays he's made. He's involved in scoring chances for quite a bit throughout the season. He understands how to do it right. It's not cute, but he makes a skilled play on Kunin's goal. He has an understanding of how to create offense."
Smith on the Blues trying to get him to fight: "Not me, to be honest. Maybe somebody else. I was more of trying to see who would go."
"I thought we played a good game last game. We just didn't end up winning at the end. We kept that rolling today, and this is what happens."
"Winning is always great. You can never get tired of that feeling. Just a great effort overall by all the guys."
"Huge blocks and stuff like that. That's what it takes to win, and we did that tonight. So, really, really happy."
"I think every single line was going. Every D pair was going; that's it's great to see. It brings a lot of clarity to the game when everybody's going, and we have the puck a little more."
"It was nice because I had to stay out for 3 Stars, so I didn't have to hear the 1st win song. I came back when they were playing the 2nd [win song], the better one."
"Shutouts are cool. But I only care about the win."
