Postgame Reactions: Granlund, Addison, Emberson, & Quinn React to Sharks 4-3 Win Over Canucks
The San Jose Sharks entertained the home crowd with a gritty 4-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks.
Sharks head coach David Quinn, Mikael Granlund, Calen Addison, and Ty Emberson shared their reactions postgame.
David Quinn Quotes:
"I think they got two powerplay goals. We had a couple of big kills when we needed them. Then we get the four on three, and we score, which is huge. We showed a lot of grit and a lot of character here tonight."
"It always helps when you dig in like we did tonight, and you lean on each other, and you do it together. When you win, and you get that family to come back in the locker room after, all that can do is bring you closer together. So that certainly certainly won't be lost."
"I said it will probably be on ESPN tonight. It was a heck of a move. Guys were going nuts. I mean, it was a pretty special goal."
"He just continues to go in the right direction, and Mario had another good night. Mario played well, and you know he and Emberson have kind of created a little bit of chemistry together. You can see Ty getting more confident and more comfortable. He's done a good job. He's a thick kid. He defends hard, and he's got some poise with the puck."
Mikael Granlund Quotes:
"It was 4 on 4, and you have a little bit of time and space. They didn't necessarily have the best gaps there. [I] just found the lane there and obviously got around the last D-man and was able to put the puck in. It feels good to get the goal and get on the scoreboard."
"Obviously, a new team and obviously battling the injury. Getting better and better all the time, and now, hopefully, I can keep it going. I still say we're playing way better as a team right now."
Calen Addison Quotes:
"It's awesome. The steps we've taken the last few weeks since I've got here, I've seen how much better this team's gotten and how much more consistent we can be. We played a real complete game tonight."
"That's hockey. I mean, you kind of lose your mind a little bit. Sometimes, everyone does, right? Everyone's competitive. Everyone wants to win, and that's it."

Ty Emberson Quotes:
"It's very rewarding, and it's been a long process. You start playing hockey as a little kid, and you grow up hoping to score a goal in the NHL. So, like you said, a couple of years in the minors just to build my game and kind of build confidence. So it's been a long road but I'm happy with where I'm at. There's a long way to go."
"Obviously, we've had a couple of leads this year in the third that have slipped away, and I think just being able to do it at one point and find the recipe for success in those third periods is big for us."
"They've been good enough to put me in some high-pressure situations. Mario has been an easy, easy guy to play with. He's been good to me in the locker room. Good to be on the ice. Just giving me tips and tricks to make it through the games, and he's been he's been really good."
"I'll probably keep the puck. I might give it to my grandpa. We'll see. My grandpa's the reason that I play hockey, so he's obviously pretty excited for me. I'm excited to talk to him."
