Sharks head coach David Quinn confirmed that MacKenzie Blackwood will start in goal.

Former Sharks netminder Alex Stalock will be dressed for Anaheim, but it is unclear who will start.

Quinn also confirmed that the d-pairs listed above are correct.

Kasper Halttunen was the San Jose Sharks second-round pick in 2023. The biggest thing that stands out about the Finnish winger is his shot.

"He can shoot. The guy's got an NHL release. An NHL shot," Quinn said. "I think he's got a good brain. He wants to get better. He's very coachable."

Quinn also said that he has earned his chance to get into a preseason game in a top-line role.

"I think it's an opportunity for him to understand what a National Hockey League game could be like," Quinn said. "He's earned this opportunity because he's worked hard and he's practiced with the right intentions."

Halttunen will be headed to the OHL's London Knights at some point during training camp instead of going back to Finland. This should help his development by staying in North America.

The San Jose Sharks will be live streaming the game at sjsharks.com and it will also be available via the Sharks Audio Network.
