The San Jose Sharks finished their two-game road trip with a 4-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday night.

Frank Vatrano had two goals and an assist to lead the Ducks. Mason McTavish and Radko Gudas scored for Anaheim. John Gibson made 25 saves.

Luke Kunin scored his second goal of the season and got into a fight. Tomas Hertl and William Eklund assisted on the play. Eklund now has points in three out of his last four games. Mackenzie Blackwood was left out to dry again and saved 40 shots.

Yet again, the Sharks got into penalty trouble. Although they were able to win two games with that risky style of play this week, their PK issues are returning. The Ducks scored two powerplay goals.

San Jose continues to struggle to generate any sort of sustained offensive pressure. A lot of one-and-done shots. They occasionally got set up but took shots from the point and were kept to the outside.

Anthony Duclair missed his second straight game with an illness. Sharks head coach David Quinn eluded that there might be more injuries as well. Oskar Lindblom and Ty Emberson were the other scratches.
