The San Jose Sharks finally got their first win of the season, beating the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1.

The San Jose Sharks finally got their first win of the season, beating the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Anthony Duclair scored early with a goal 1:43 into the first period. He would also earn an assist on William Eklund's goal, giving him multiple points in back-to-back games. 

Mackenzie Blackwood made 38 saves for his first win as a member of the Sharks. He was spectacular all night.

Joel Farabee scored for the Flyers, his sixth of the season. Samuel Ersson made 17 saves. 

There was a distinct edge to the Sharks game all night. They were physical and caused chaos all over the ice. Givani Smith got into a fight with Nicolas Deslauriers in the first period. 

FIRST PERIOD:

1:43: Duclair buries a great feed from Labanc to give the Sharks a 1-0 lead.

San Jose started the period strong. Penalties and other mistakes caused them to give up some chances, but Blackwood was up to the task.

SECOND PERIOD:

16:18: Eklund powers a one-time shot on the powerplay to give the Sharks their first two-goal lead of the season. 2-0 Sharks.

18:51: Farabee scores on a one-timer that was initially saved by Blackwood. After review, the puck was confirmed it crossed the line. 2-1 Sharks.

THIRD PERIOD:

The Sharks hung on for dear life in the third but Blackwood was stellar.
