Team chemistry is sometimes overlooked, but the San Jose Sharks have created a close locker room.

While covering the San Jose Sharks, I quickly saw how close this team has bonded.
I spoke with winger Fabian Zetterlund today about how he is feeling heading into tomorrow's matchup with the Carolina Hurricanes. He and I had to keep focused as Anthony Duclair and Luke Kunin tossed balls of tape, empty water bottles, and more toward us.
Duclair jokingly said, "Come on, Fabian, keep your focus" during our interview. I ended up asking Zetterlund about team chemistry.
"It's really nice group," Zetterlund said. "Everyone is getting together every day, and we have fun every day, too, so it's nice."
Every time I go into the room, the energy is high. Guys are talking about all kinds of things, whether it is practice, something off the ice, or even the NFL.
Mario Ferraro always smiles and has a good time, no matter the situation. Whenever he walks into a room, you know he's there. He keeps conversations light, and guys are drawn to him.
But what about the new guys like Mackenzie Blackwood? He arrived in San Jose a few weeks before training camp. He took part in some captain skates to get to know the team sooner.
"Obviously, you get to spend more time around the guys," Blackwood said. "You get to know them a little bit better and know each and every guy's game. Getting to spend that extra time before was helpful."
The San Jose Sharks have only played two games, but the chemistry built is already high. It should get even better as the season goes on.
