Dean Tait - Hockey Shots - BREAKING: Top Sharks Prospect Left Off Preliminary World Juniors Roster

Team USA announced his 29-man preliminary roster for the 2024 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship, and San Jose Sharks prospect Quentin Musty wasn't on the list.

While playing for the OHL's Sudbury Wolves, Musty has 31 points (13 goals, 18 assists) in 16 games. That is good for second on the team.

Musty is a prolific offensive force and was a first-round pick in 2023. At 6'2, 202 lbs, Musty has the size and speed to be a dominant power forward.

Team USA has had some iconic power forwards play for them at the World Juniors. One winger is Florida Panthers' Matthew Tkachuk. In 2016, Tkachuk had 11 points across seven games. He scored four goals, helping his team win a bronze medal.

Musty could've been a big help to this team and joined fellow Sharks prospects Will Smith and Eric Pohlkamp.

Be on the lookout for a Quentin Musty exclusive interview on The Hockey News later this week.
