Defenseman Cody Ceci scored his first goal as a member of the San Jose Sharks last night, ending one of the longest road goalless streaks ever. On Nov. 11, 2021, against the Boston Bruins was the last time Ceci scored a goal on the road. He also earned an assist on a Leon Draisaitl game-winning goal with a terrific move to cut to the front of the net. According to the Sharks broadcast, the only active steak that was longer than Ceci's 127 games is Vancouver Canucks defenseman Erik Brannstrom, who has gone 285 games (143 on the road) without a road goal. Brannstrom has played 285 games in the NHL and has nine career goals, all coming in home games.
