The Seattle Kraken hosted the undefeated Winnipeg Jets Thursday night at Climate Pledge Arena in game four of a five game homestand.
The Kraken came off looking strong in the first period with a goal from Matty Beniers. Matty Beniers had a standout night, recording three points with his first two goals of the season, matching his career high from March 26, 2024, against Anaheim.

The Kraken made a comeback in the third period, starting with a goal from Jordan Eberle. This was his sixth goal of the season, bringing his totals to nine goals, 10 assists, and 19 points in 28 career games against Winnipeg. Kraken fans erupted into cheers as Matty Beniers scored the tying goal, forcing overtime. A defeated Connor Hellebuyck sat in the net while the Beniers' line celebrated around him. Brandon Montour's assist on Beniers' second goal gave him four assists this season, the most among Kraken defensemen and third on the team.

Despite the Kraken's third period triumph the Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers scored just 1:26 into overtime, leading the Winnipeg Jets to a 4-3 victory and extending their season-opening winning streak to seven games.
Kraken goalie Joey Daccord deserves praise for his performance, making 32 saves on 36 shots. However, the team's failure to score on two power play opportunities remains their Achilles' heel.
The Kraken host the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday. Puck drop is at 7PM PST.
