Kaapo Kakko broke the ice for the Seattle Kraken, scoring a power-play goal in the first period against the Florida Panthers on Saturday. While most of the team spent the winter break vacationing with family or rehabbing injuries, Kakko participated in the 4 Nations Face-off, where he picked up an assist that helped his home country, Finland, earn a chance in the second round. The Kraken lead 1-0 over the Panthers at the end of the first period.
