The Seattle Kraken return from a three-game road trip, during which they posted a 2-1-0 record, to take on rookie sensation Matvei Michkov and the Philadelphia Flyers.
The Kraken picked up a massive win on the road in a tough building against a star-studded Nashville Predators team. They put six goals past superstar Juuse Saros en route to a 7-3 victory. The Kraken had seven different goal scorers and played the brand of hockey they had been yearning for.
The Flyers are coming into Seattle with a 1-1-1 record after taking on three Western Canadian teams. They beat the Vancouver Canucks, lost to the Calgary Flames in regulation then most recently lost to the Edmonton Oilers in overtime. Tonight is the final game of their four-game road trip to start the 2024-25 season.
The Flyers' penalty kill and power play come in tonight's game ranked 10th in both categories. For the Kraken to secure a win, they'll need to be disciplined and alert on special teams.
Tonight's matchup against the Flyers is the first of two, the second meeting will commence on Mar. 8, 2025.
