Winnipeg Allows 2.4 Goals Per Game, Best In NHL

When a team's been eliminated from the playoffs, and the realistic chance of a postseason berth dimmed well before that, the question raised before each game tends to be the same.

"What do you have to play for?"

The Seattle Kraken have been asked that repeatedly, including before Tuesday's next-to-last game of the 2023-24 season against the Winnipeg Jets at Canada Life Center.

Here's one: scoring more than the one goal Seattle has produced in each of the last three games, all losses. They could hardly pick a more daunting opponent, though; Winnipeg allows fewer goals against per game (2.41) than any team in the NHL.

Coach Dave Hakstol and forward Yanni Gourde explain more about the team's motivations in this Kraken Reaction video.
