Seattle led in shots on goal, 34 to 27, but had a hard time getting anything past net-minder Dustin Wolf. Wolf was an impenetrable force, appearing calm against the relentless Kraken.

Only Nathan Villeneuve, with a cross-ice pass from Oliver Bjorkstrand, scored in the third period, shortening Calgary's lead to 4-1. The cheers from Seattle fans faded quickly as Adam Klapka and Martin Frk scored two more against starting Kraken goalie Philipp Grubauer

Calgary led with penalties, and several fights broke out that kept the crowd entertained. The Kraken's Tucker Robertson took on Calgary defenseman Artem Grushnikov early in the second period and Tye Kartye was a bit punchy throughout most of the second and third. What's that old hockey saying? 'If you can't win, fight!
