
Chiefs' Berkly Catton Wins Shootout Over Julius Miettinen's Silvertips, 4-3.

Seattle, WA - Kraken's 8th overall 2024 draft pick Berkly Catton and the Spokane Chiefs squared off against 40th overall pick Julius Miettinen and the Everett Silvertips at Angel of the Winds Arena on Friday night.
Julius Miettinen delivered a standout performance, setting up both of Tarin Smith's goals to earn two assists. The 6'3" left-handed center from Helsinki now has 26 points this season, with 6 goals and 20 assists.
Spokane's Shea Van Olm lit up the scoreboard with two goals, including a crucial opener from Owen Schoettler. Dominik Rymon answered for the opposition, tying the game at 3 late in the third and sending the battle into overtime. Chiefs netminder Dawson Cowan, recently named WHL Goaltender of the Week, stood tall with a stellar 35-save performance on 39 shots. The game was a physical clash, with both teams racking up five penalties apiece.
In the shootout, it was the 5'10" Saskatoon native, Catton, who delivered the final blow, scoring the decisive goal to secure a 4-3 victory for Spokane. Catton, with 35 points on the season, including 10 goals and 25 assists, proved to be the game-winner in a thrilling finish.
