Seattle Kraken's youngsters Berkly Catton and Jani Nyman will attend the 2025 NHLPA Rookie Showcase.
Catton enjoyed another phenomenal season in the WHL, racking up 38 goals and 109 points in 54 games. The 19-year-old was also chosen to represent Team Canada at the World Junior Championship, and despite recording just one assist in five games, he was consistently one of Canada's biggest threats offensively.
There is plenty of uncertainty about where Catton will spend the 2025-26 season, but one thing is for sure: the Kraken's future is centered around his skill.
Nyman made his NHL debut late in the 2024-25 season and fit in nicely. His size and offensive instincts made the transition to North American hockey seamless, and after a dominant rookie campaign in the AHL, the 21-year-old is expected to make the Kraken roster out of training camp.

Both Catton and Nyman will attend the showcase, which is set to be held at the MedStar Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Virginia, on Sept. 3.
Hosted by Upper Deck - the official trading card of the NHL - the event will be an opportunity for Catton, Nyman, and other prospects from the 31 other NHL clubs to skate together and pose for photos for their first official Upper Deck hockey cards.
