Change Necessitated By Move Of NFL Playoff Game

Who knew when the Seattle Seahawks lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers two weeks ago, that it would have a ripple effect on the Seattle Kraken.

The Steelers' win at Lumen Field helped propel them into the NFL playoffs, with a game scheduled Sunday against the Bills in Buffalo.

However, Sunday's Western New York forecast calls for snow and wind gusts up to 27 mph. For that reason, the Wild Card football game has been moved to Monday at 1:30 pm Pacific time.

The benefit of delaying the game isn't clear. Monday's Buffalo high temperature is predicted to be 20 degrees F, seven degrees COLDER than Sunday, with more snow. Winds Monday will be "only" 17 mph.

In any event, the rescheduling places the NFL game start time 90 minutes prior to when the Kraken-Pittsburgh Penguins game was supposed to start at PPG Paints Arena.

So as to stay out of playoff football's way, the Seattle-Pittsburgh NHL game has been pushed ahead to a 10 am Pacific start time.
