And What Does This Have To Do With Hockey?

Seattle football fans are intimately acquainted with Jim Harbaugh. He coached the NFC West foe San Francisco 49ers as the rivalry with the Seahawks reached epic proportions.

The bad blood reached a crescendo with the 'Hawks 23-17 victory over the Niners in the 2013 NFC Championship game, the season Seattle went on to win the Super Bowl.

University of Washington Huskies fans also know Jim Harbaugh. The Huskies lost to Harbaugh's Michigan team in the 2024 college football National Championship.

A nine-year member of that Wolverines coaching staff was Jim's son, Jay Harbaugh - who just got hired by the Seahawks.

Which is odd and funky and cool and isn't-it-a-small-world and all, but belongs on the pages of The Football News.

Except... guess where Jay Harbaugh was Saturday night.

That's right. Taking in the Seattle Kraken home game against the Minnesota Wild.

Now, you wouldn't expect a Michigan Man to be rooting for a team from Big 10 opponent Minnesota. But come to think of it, U-Dub is now in the Big 10, too. So it's nice to see a Harbaugh rooting for a Seattle team for a change.
