Eeli Tolvanen has signed a two-year, $3.475M AAV contract extension with the Seattle Kraken.
Before the start of Stucky Cup at the Kraken's 2024 Development Camp, general manager Ron Francis announced that the franchise and Tolvanen had come to an agreement.
Playing the last two and a half seasons with the Kraken, the 25-year-old has scored 32 goals and 68 points in 129 games.
Tolvanen's role with the team will remain the same; score goals and at an efficient rate. With the additions at forward and possible call-ups of top prospects, Tolvanen might not receive the same power play time but will be playing with skilled players at 5-on-5.
After this agreement, the Kraken now have $7.1M to sign star forward Matty Beniers. The Kraken could trade another player to free up more space but they are likely hoping to sign Beniers around that dollar amount.
