Sports E-gaming in booming. According to Statista.com, the worldwide E-sports market in 2024 is valued at $4.3 billion U.S. The number of "users" is expected to exceed 850 million by 2028.
Along for the ride is EA Sports' NHL 24. For many, the game long ago evolved beyond a casual pastime into competitive tournaments with monetary payouts and thousands of online viewers.
