Seattle's favorite sea troll, Buoy, turned 3 years old this week. While we aren't sure how that translates into human years, we do know it hasn't slowed down the mischievous Kraken mascot.
Arena host Strawberry and the Mariners' Moose surprised Buoy with a piñata during Wednesday night's home game. In typical Buoy fashion, things got out of hand, but it looks like Moose will be okay.
The 6-foot blue nephew of the Fremont Troll made his debut on October 1, 2022, during the regular season opener against the Vancouver Canucks. Buoy repelled from the rafters onto center ice for his epic entrance into the deep. Fans knew they were in for a wild ride with Buoy from day one. Buoy's terrible twos were filled with shenanigans on and off the ice. Here are some of our favorite moments.
If you are lucky enough to meet Buoy in person he may show with you his removable front tooth, or flip his hair (said to represent the waves of the Puget Sound) to reveal his small tentacle. But if you fail to get a selfie with the original Buoy you can try your luck at getting your hands on the troll's first bobblehead this season.
