The Canadian Hockey League's Most Valuable Player of 2024 was seen at a closed practice at KCI this week wearing the team's new practice jersey. The Irma, Alberta native was the Kraken's 2022 draft pick and recently signed a 3-year contract with a cap hit of $891,666 per season, which expires at the end of the 2026-27 season, when Firkus will be 23 years old. At first glance, some fans immediately noticed the tear in Matty Beniers' jersey. While some fans commented that the updated design was pretty cool, others felt the black shoulder pads were distracting and the 'Property of' label was a bit unnecessary. What are your thoughts?
