
The Seattle Kraken acquired veteran forward Frederick Gaudreau from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for a fourth-round pick (102nd overall) in the 2025 NHL Draft this upcoming Friday.
Gaudreau, had 18 goals and 19 assists in 82 games last season for Minnesota. The 8 year veteran has 3 more years left on his contract with a cap hit of $2,100,000 per year.
"Frederick's a versatile skater who plays a strong two-way game," said Botterill. "He gives us depth down the middle and has the ability to produce offensively. He's a player that can be trusted on the defensive side of the puck, especially on the penalty kill. In Gaudreau's 8 NHL seasons, he has scored 61 goals and 91 assists in 410 games between the Nashville Predators, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Minnesota Wild.
