The Seattle Kraken have assigned Jordan Eberle to the Coachella Valley Firebirds on a conditioning loan.
The 34-year-old has played in just 17 games before sustaining his pelvis injury but was able to score five goals and 11 points. Heading to the AHL is a positive sign in his recovery process, and without any unforeseen setbacks, he should be able to return after the 4-Nations Face-Off.
Eberle hasn't played since Nov. 14, 2024, after he and Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Connor Murphy were tangled up and went into the boards awkwardly.
A conditioning loan can last up to 14 days, giving Eberle plenty of time to get back into game shape and plenty of time for the Kraken to monitor his health. Missing Eberle has effected the Kraken, and they'll be thrilled to hear that he is another step closer to returning.
