Seattle, WA - The Seattle Kraken hosted their final theme night of the season on Saturday—“Green Night”—a celebration that strongly aligns with the mission of Climate Pledge Arena’s creators. The event honored the team's commitment to sustainability, environmental awareness, and climate change prevention.

Kraken players, along with mascot Buoy, arrived ahead of their matchup against the St. Louis Blues wearing specially designed green jerseys created by Oregon artist Kel Lauren. These unique jerseys were auctioned off during the game, with proceeds supporting hockey access programs and scholarships for girls.

The jersey design featured symbolic illustrations that paid tribute to the wildlife and folklore of the Pacific Northwest. Incorporating birds, fish, native plants, and a palette inspired by local green spaces, the artwork reflected the interconnectedness of the region’s ecosystems and the species that depend on them.

As part of the night’s celebration, the Kraken Unity Fund recognized Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust as the “Heroes of the Deep.” The nonprofit was awarded $32,000 for its ongoing stewardship of a 1.5-million-acre landscape stretching from Seattle to Ellensburg along the I-90 corridor. Rain or shine, their dedicated volunteers and staff work tirelessly to keep the region clean, green, and thriving. Their mission is to lead and inspire action to conserve and enhance the landscape of the mountains and greenways, ensuring a long-term balance between people and nature.
