The Seattle Kraken completed day 1 of their training camp on Thursday giving fans a glimpse of who might be on the opening night roster.
The Kraken split their roster into three groups but based on the line rushes, fans were able to get a glimpse of what newly hired HC Dan Bylsma might put out on opening night against the St. Louis Blues. Due to possible injuries and the ups and downs of preseason, the lines are subject to change but if all goes well, the Kraken could be icing a dangerous lineup.
McCann-Beniers-Bjrokstrand
Burakovsky-Stephenson-Schwartz
Kartye-Wright-Eberle
Tolvanen-Gourde-Tanev
Dunn-Larsson
Oleksiak-Montour
Evans-Borgen
Grubauer
Daccord
No surprises with the defence pairings as Brandon Montour slots in beside Jamie Oleksiak. Vince Dunn and Adam Larsson have formed great chemistry together leaving the two youngest defenders in Ryker Evans and Will Borgen to learn beside each other on the third pairing.
Shane Wright skates alongside a young and energetic Tye Kartye as well the experienced veteran in Jordan Eberle. Eberle will take some pressure off of Wright and allow him to feel more comfortable.
Finding the best wingers for Chandler Stephenson might take a bit of time but Bylsma has elected to try Jaden Schwartz and Andre Burakovsky first.
The goal for the team has been made clear by many players including Matty Beniers; make the playoffs, anything below is a disappointment.
