Seattle Kraken prospect Caden Price has been traded to the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
The 19-year-old defender returned from the World Juniors where he recorded a goal and an assist in five games with Canada. He'll be joining a Hurricanes team that has previously traded for his teammate from Team Canada, Winnipeg Jets prospect Brayden Yager.
The Hurricanes also roster defenseman Noah Chadwick, a Toronto Maple Leafs prospect and winger Miguel Marques, a Nashville Predators prospect. The Hurricanes are currently sixth in the Western Conference, trailing the first-place Medicine Hat Tigers by four points with three games in hand.
Price is enjoying his best WHL season, recording six goals and 32 points in 27 games. He'll be a key figure on the Hurricanes' blue line and will be relied upon heavily to play big minutes in the playoffs.
Returning to the Kelowna Rockets will be 2025 draft eligible defenseman Will Sharpe, goaltender Harrison Boettiger and five draft picks.
Price is likely in his last season in the WHL as he'll be eligible to play for the Coachella Valley Firebirds in the AHL next season as the next step in his development.
