So that's why Jordan Eberle appeared to have a slow start to the 2023-24 Seattle Kraken season.

At a year-end press conference Monday, GM Ron Francis revealed that Eberle suffered a broken hand incurred in a fight during the fourth game of the season.

The photo at left shows Eberle duking it out with Logan O'Connor of the Colorado Avalanche at Climate Pledge Arena on October. 17.

O'Connor apparently was retaliating for a questionable Eberle hit during the previous season's Avs-Kraken playoff series.

"He continued to play for the next six weeks with a broken hand," Francis said, calling the revelation "things that we don't talk about" publicly during the season.

Speaking about the season just past and reflecting on ways the Kraken can be better next year is what Eberle himself does in this Kraken Reaction conversation.
