Seattle Kraken HC Dan Bylsma provided updates on injured players Vince Dunn and Jordan Eberle today following practice.

Seattle Kraken HC Dan Bylsma provided updates on injured players Vince Dunn and Jordan Eberle today following practice.

Bylsma said that updates involving the Kraken's captain will be coming later. The 34-year-old has been out of the lineup since he suffered an injury against the Chicago Blackhawks on Nov. 14. He was in a lot of pain upon crashing into the boards after he and Connor Murphy were tangled up. He's visited multiple doctors since suffering the injury to find out what is injured and what a possible timeline could be.

Dunn practiced with the team today in a regular jersey, not a non-contact uniform. Bylsma stated that he'll accompany the team on their upcoming two-game road trip but wasn't able to confirm whether Dunn will play in either game.

GM Ron Francis joined 93.3 KJR and said that their initial timeline for Dunn was six weeks. This past Thursday marked five weeks and they were targeting next Thursday, Nov. 28 as a possible return date. Francis did say that it was a rough estimate and that he could return a day or two before or after the initial target date.

The Kraken play three games before next Thursday. Saturday against the Los Angeles Kings and then Monday and Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks.

The 28-year-old's return will be a huge boost for the Kraken both offensively and defensively. Ryker Evans has stepped up and filled the vacant role but Dunn's return will take some pressure off of Evans and allow all six defenders to revert back to their defence partners they feel comfortable with.
