Seattle Kraken prospect Andrei Loshko has been claimed off of waiver by the Niagara IceDogs of the OHL.

The Kraken selected the 19-year-old with a fourth-round pick in the 2023 NHL draft. He's spent the past three seasons playing in the QMJHL, notching 66 goals and 163 points in 179 games.

Joining the IceDogs, Loshko will play a crucial role. His offensive numbers have been good the last two seasons but his two-way game is where he provides additional value. Jeff Tambolini of the Kraken described him as a "top two-way guy".

The 6'1 Belarusian-born winger has a wonderful opportunity to take a big step in his development. At the moment, Loshko has not signed his entry-level contract with the Kraken but a strong season could earn him the contract and allow him to play with the Coachella Valley Firebirds next season.

He has the physical tools and game to be an effective NHL player in the future and a solid OHL campaign can do that for him.
