The Seattle Kraken played a near-perfect game of hockey with contributions from everyone in the lineup.
The Kraken potted seven goals against the Predators on Tuesday, six of which were scored on Juuse Saros. The seven goals were scored by seven different players, Ryker Evans, Oliver Bjorkstrand, Brandon Tanev, Jaden Schwartz, Jordan Eberle, Jared McCann and Adam Larsson were the goal scorers.
The Kraken hoped out to a 2-0 lead before the Predators answered back to tie the game. Tanev scored late in the first period to regain the lead. After the Predators scored late in the second, the Kraken took over with a dominant third period scoring four unanswered goals.
The Kraken outshot the Predators 35-33 who made major upgrades to their squad in the offseason.
Brandon Montour and Jamie Oleksiak had a strong game with Oleksiak finishing as a +4 with two assists and Montour as a +3 with an assist. Chandler Stephenson finally got on the scoresheet, picking up two assists, one of which was a primary marker. Beniers also registered his first point of the season with an assist on McCann's goal.
The Kraken played the brand of hockey they had been talking about. They played fast, forcing turnovers on the forecheck and quickly countering when gaining possession in their own end. They were able to put the Predators on their back foot and capitalize on the chances they created.
The Kraken are now up to four points on the season with a 2-2-0 record and they'll be back in action on Thursday when they host the Philadelphia Flyers at Climate Pledge Arena.
