Senators sweep two-game season series to close out the Kraken’s final homestand of 2024.
Seattle, WA – The Seattle Kraken hosted the Ottawa Senators to close out their final homestand of 2024. Despite an early barrage of shots against the Senators’ seasoned goalie, Linus Ullmark, the recently named NHL's third star of the week stood tall. Ullmark, who boasts a 7-0-1 record and a .957 save percentage since being traded from the Boston Bruins, earned his third shutout of the season (and 11th of his career) as the Senators blanked the Kraken.

Kraken defenseman Brandon Montour attacked Ullmark early, firing 5 shots on goal in the first period. He was visibly frustrated when speaking to the press post-game: "Obviously, you're going to have times when things don’t go your way, but it’s too easy for these goalies. Again, we had some looks, but the shots don’t matter if the goalie sees them all the time."

Kraken goalie Joey Daccord started strong in the first period, but by the second, the Kraken defense began to unravel. The Senators capitalized on the flaring tempers and mounting penalties, taking control of the game.

The Three Stars of the Game were all awarded to Ottawa - Ullmark, Pinto and Gregor.

Thursday night, the Kraken begin a four-game road trip starting in Chicago against the Blackhawks.
