Victory Over Senators Extended Kraken's Points Streak To 10 Games (8-0-2)

Time to enjoy a photo essay from the latest (ho-hum) Seattle Kraken victory, a 4-1 triumph Thursday at Climate Pledge Arena over the Ottawa Senators.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, and I didn't want to write 20,000 words, 20 wonderful snaps from our own Caroline Anne and USA TODAY Sports' Joe Nicholson beautifully tell the game story.

    The captions are my fault.

Oliver Bjorkstrand was named a Western Conference All-Star before the game. This is Brandon Tanev. That's all the reason necessary to show his pregame photo.Spoiler Alert: This is Seattle's 2nd goal scorer, Tomas Tatar.Spoiler Alert: This is Seattle's 3rd goal scorer, Andre Burakovsky.Last Spoiler: Vince Dunn scored Seattle's 4th goal, an empty-netter. And he's a heck of a puck-juggler. (Nice shot, Caroline!)But this was Seattle's 1st goal scorer, Yanni Gourde (37), with his second in two games. This is the man stopping all the pucks for the Kraken, goalie Joey DaccordOttawa's Brady Tkachuk found out the hard way."Come to Papa.""No man stands so tall as when he kneels to find the puck."Other times, the crease feels like a game of Twister.Tatar gives the Kraken a 2-0 lead late in the 2nd period. In the final minute of the 2nd, Burakovsky extends the Kraken lead to 3-0 with his first goal of the season.Right after the goal, Burakovsky loses an edge and crashes into the boards. As any motivational speaker will tell you, it's not how many times you fall, it's how many times you get up (and celebrate with teammates). Before Ottawa scored a meaningless 3rd period goal, Daccord had run a team-record scoreless streak to more than 155 minutes.Daccord (right) celebrates victory with Dunn."All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time yeets many fish." At least he does if he's won as many games as Joey Daccord has recently.Tatar, nicknamed "Tuna", about to betray one of his own kind.Image
