In a thrilling, back-and-forth matchup, Seattle ultimately fell to Detroit, who currently sit atop the wild card standings. With the loss, Seattle's all-time record against Detroit now stands at 4-2-2, including a 2-1-1 mark at home.
Matty Beniers tied the game at 1-1 in the first period with his 12th goal of the season.
Shane Wright continued his career-high six-game point streak, adding a pair of goals in the second and third periods, bringing his total over the stretch to seven points (3g/4a).
