Seattle Kraken's Ville Petman is reportedly returning to SaiPa of Liiga following the conclusion of the Calder Cup finals.

Iltalehti, a Finnish newspaper, was the first to report the news.

The 24-year-old played 127 games in the past two seasons, with the Coachella Valley Firebirds scoring 14 goals and 40 points. Petman played 26 games in the playoffs in 2022-23 but hasn't featured in any playoff games this year.

Before signing with the Kraken, Petman played two seasons with SaiPa. In the season before signing with the Kraken, he scored 15 goals and 39 points in 59 games, leading his team in both offensive categories.

The 5'10 forward was brought over to North America as a prospect but his play hasn't warranted him the opportunity to play for the Kraken or earn more minutes with the Firebirds.

SaiPa failed to make the playoffs last year but will hope to get a boost with the return of Petman.
