The Seattle Kraken announced their home opener for the 2026-27 season will be on October 4th, 2026, at 5 pm.

The Kraken will take on the Calgary Flames at Climate Pledge Arena for opening night, presented by Amazon Prime.

Seattle will also play in Calgary’s home opener on October 1st.

The two teams are slated to face one another during preseason, first on September 20th and again on September 24th.

These two teams faced off three times in the regular season last year.

First, on December 18th, the Flames came out victorious 4-2. Then, on January 5th, the Kraken won 5-1.

The teams faced each other again on April 11th, with the Kraken winning 4-1.

The Pacific Division rivals will see one another early this season, appearing in both teams' home openers.

The complete 2026-27 NHL regular-season schedule is set to be announced on Thursday, July 16, at 1 p.m. ET.
